General Motors boasts the hit vehicle will have sleek style, revving power, and a class all its own that is sure to over-deliver to hot rod riders everywhere, WebProNews.com reports this Sunday, Sept. 15.

The 2014 Corvette is being released, and while General Motors has assured potential buyers that the ‘Vette looks great with its body style and exterior design, they also confirm there is a lot more to this car than that. The American automaker is telling future buyers that this is one sports car that boasts more than any other, and is tru

Fondly called the “C7” among fellow car fans, the praised 2014 Corvette has a base model Stingray that is set to come with an approximate 455 horsepower potential. (Though the model only offers 450 horsepower in reports, it is believed to hit 455 once all definite numbers have been collected.) The hot rod vehicle will also boast numerous performance and customization features, including a higih performance exhaust kit for drivers who really have that need for speed.

The horsepower and sleek design of the Stingray aren’t all that this upcoming corvette has to offer, though. Its new-and-improved engine structure also has many car enthusiasts talking, as the engine is said to be in the process of being worked on with “numerous performance tests ... with the 6.2 liter and V-8 engine anticipated to be the ‘crowning glory’ of the Stingray,” adds one report.

According to a recent GM press release on the 2014 Corvette, engine program Chief Engineer Jordan Lee had this to say on his highly praised “C7” engine:

“The 2014 Corvette Stingray’s LT1 engine is a triumph of advanced technology, delivering more power and torque than ever before with greater efficiency. The car's LT1′s performance compliments the Corvette’s low mass with a tremendous feeling of power that builds as the rpm climbs. Drivers will experience more power and acceleration than ever before with the standard engine – in fact, it’s power and torque surpass many up-level engines offered by competitors.”
