After Linday Lohan's mum, Dina, was arrested for alleged drink driving and speeding, Lindsay stopped what she was doing and raced over to her Long Island home.
Unfortunately, what she appeared to have been doing was getting dressed.
Wearing a lovely bowler hat, ripped leggings and hot pants, teamed with a tiny top and absolutely no form of underwiring, Lindsay looked a bit like she'd been interrupted while preparing for a dance interpretation of A Clockwork Orange.
Which is actually quite impressive. If our mother was arrested, we'd probably turn up in a onesie with sick all down the front of it, after throwing up from the shock of it all.
Lindsay wasn't the only person who turned up to Dina's house that day - onlookers spotted policemen coming and going as well.
Dina, 50, was pulled over in New York on Tuesday night around 11pm after she was allegedly driving over the speed limit in her white BMW.
New York State Police confirmed the mother of previously troubled actress Lindsay was behind the wheel of a vehicle going at “a speed of 77 mph in a 55mph zone”.
Dina's blood alcohol level was found to be .2, which is more than twice the legal limit of .08, according to TMZ.
It’s claimed that Dina told police she was injured during the arrest and was evaluated by medical staff.
According to cops, “Lohan made an allegation that she was injured during the course of the arrest" but later "recanted her claim” when it was determined by medics she was fine.
Officials said: "She was later released to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear in Nassau County1st District Court on September 24 at 9 am.”
She was issued traffic tickets for the two Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) offences and speeding and is due back in court September 24.
The incident comes less than eight weeks after Lindsay, 27, completed her three-month court-ordered stay in rehab. So it's nice to see that she's supporting her mum.
Now all she needs is a bra to support her.
