Spicer announced he would be resigning as Trump's top spokesman Friday as reports emerged that Scaramucci would fill the communications director role over his strenuous objections.
In the first on-camera White House briefing this month, Scaramucci admitted that it is "obviously a very difficult situation" for Spicer, but called him a "true American patriot" and wished him well for after he leaves the White House.

"He's done an amazing job," he said. "I wish him well and I hope he goes on to make a tremendous amount of money."
Spicer said he would stay on his role until August, and did not announce where he will be heading after he leaves the press secretary role. He is scheduled to appear on "The Sean Hannity Show" on Fox News on Friday evening.
Hannity's show will also include pre-taped interviews with Scaramucci and White House chief of staff Reince Preibus.
