Dem: Giuliani leading the kind of people he used to prosecute
Dem: Giuliani leading the kind of people he used to prosecute, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) tore into Rudy Giuliani on Sunday for defending President Trump, saying the former New York mayor is now protecting the kind of people he used to prosecute.
Swalwell was responding to Giuliani's comment earlier Sunday that Trump wouldn't have to comply with a possible subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller.
"You know who talks like this? You know who else thinks the law doesn't apply to them? You know who else takes the 5th? The Mob," Swalwell tweeted.

"Mr. Mayor, you used to prosecute people like this. Now you're leading them."
Giuliani, who recently joined Trump's legal team, said on ABC's "This Week" that the president wouldn't have to comply with a subpoena from Mueller, citing Trump's presidential privileges.
He also said that Trump might assert his Fifth Amendment rights if he were placed under oath.
The former New York City mayor set off a firestorm last week when he said on Fox News that Trump had reimbursed his personal attorney for the $130,000 payment made to adult-film star Stormy Daniels to stay quiet about an alleged affair.
Giuliani has since made several more public statements to clarify his remarks.
