Angelina Jolie 'urging Brad Pitt and Maddox to mend rift' as relationship thaws, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are looking to capitalise on their relationship getting better and mend some of the broken ties between him and their children.
The 45-year-old actress has become an advocate for their son Maddox, among others, to build a relationship with their father again, after some rockiness in the past few years.
The 19-year-old has had a particularly difficult relationship with Brad after they were involved in an altercation when he was 15.
Brad has also found connecting with 16-year-old Pax a little difficult since his split from Angelina in 2016 but Ange "has been advocating for a reconciliation” between the actor and their oldest kids, according to Us Weekly.
However this has been cautioned by a second source, who has told the US publication that "there’s no sign this is true, but it would be great if they were."
It would seem that Maddox will be the hardest one to bring round to reconciling with Brad after the plane incident in 2016 led to Angelina filing for divorce.
Brad and Maddox had come to blows on a flight from Nice to Los Angeles after the Oscar winning actor had been drinking heavily.
Since then, Maddox and Brad have barely communicated and this is the relationship which Angelina is most keen to repair.
The 56-year-old Hollywood star is also eager to patch things up with Maddox, who is back home with Angelina while his college in South Korea is shut due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Unfortunately for Brad, Maddox is still “holding on to a lot of anger,” so there may need to be a fair bit of help from Angelina for them to get on the same page and be father and son again.
The reconciliations are coming after Brad and Angelina buried the hatchet during the lockdown period after years of bitterness with their divorce and subsequent custody battle.
Over the past few weeks, Brad has been seen arriving on his motorcycle at Angelina's home in Los Angeles, as he ramped up his co-parenting responsibilities with his relationship with Angelina thawing.
