Colin Kaepernick responds to Michael Vick saying he should get a haircut
Colin Kaepernick responds to Michael Vick saying he should get a haircut, Michael Vick started a firestorm of controversy Monday when he said free agent QB Colin Kaepernick should get a haircut, and do away with his afro.
"I don’t think he should represent himself in that way," Vick said about Kaepernick's hair. "Just the hairstyle. Just go clean-cut. You know, why not? You're already dealing with a lot."
Vick's comments started a discussion on social media with many high-profile reporters and athletes rejecting the idea that a haircut should matter. It seemed like everyone had an opinion on the issue, and Tuesday morning, Kaepernick chimed in with a response.
While he didn't mention Vick by name in the tweet, it was clearly a shot at the retired quarterback. Many others on social media had the same takeaway, and praised the former 49ers QB for his response.
Vick also responded to the criticism he faced with a Twitter post Tuesday. He essentially backpedaled from his initial stance and tried to clarify what he was trying to say on Monday.
