Drake’s New Album ‘Nothing Was The Same’ Is His Best Yet

Drake’s New Album ‘Nothing Was The Same’ Is His Best Yet, Lucky for us, Drake’s highly anticipated new album has leaked early on Sept. 15, and it’s everything he promised it would be! There are no skippable songs on this album, which is a rare thing for any artist. I can’t get enough of it!

“The album is coming September, just wait on it,” Canadian-bred artist Drake, 26, rapped on a verse of “Versace” by Migos – and his fans and critics have been waiting patiently ever since. Nothing Was The Same, the most anticipated rap album of the year, was originally set to debut Sept. 24, but it’s here early and it doesn’t disappoint!

Drake’s New Album Leak — ‘Nothing Was The Same’ Leaks

Drake’s third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, leaked via Twitter on Sept. 15, and needless to say, I haven’t been able to put my headphones down since! The album features 13 tracks, including his latest singles “Started From the Bottom,” “The Motion” featuring Sampha, “All Me” featuring 2 Chainz and Big Sean, and last but not least, one of my absolute favorites, “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” I love this last track so much, I’ve been listening to it on repeat!

Drake’s Nothing Was the Same features R&B melodies woven around rap, true to Drake’s recent promise to MTV News that “This album is not some straight rap album. I’ll never do a straight rap album.”

His dauntless, cocky lyrics will have you on the edge of your seat, taking no prisoners. Drake has been gearing up for the number one spot in the rap game for a while now, and this album totally secures his position at the top.

Drake Stuns With Bold New Lyrics

Here are some of the lyrics from one of my favorite songs on the album, “The Language”:

I don’t know why they been lying, but yo sh*t is not that inspiring
Bank account statements just looking like I’m ready for early retirement
F**k any n**** that’s talking that sh*t just to get a reaction
F**k going platinum, I looked at my wrist and it’s already platinum

With its up-tempo beat and undeniable lyrics to be reckoned with, the track is enticing, fresh and entertaining! The bold lyrics also show us a different side of Drake, whose raps tend to me more reserved.

“Pound Cake/Paris Morton 2″ has definitely created the most buzz on the album, and it’s no wonder since it features rap mogul Jay Z! It’s a great collaboration, but even though the song is getting a lot of attention, it doesn’t quite live up to the hype for me.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Nothing Was the Same will be nominated for best rap album of the year — and it’s totally deserved. If I can listen to an entire album without skipping a beat — or a song — that’s one hell of an album!

Fans React to Drake’s ‘Nothing Was The Same’ Album Leak

I’m not the only one who is crazy about Drake’s new album. Fans eager to hear the leaked album crashed several websites that put it up on Sept. 15. Drake lovers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Nothing Was the Same. Check out a few reactions below:
